Your skin battles harsh environmental toxins, irritants, and sun damage each and every day.
No wonder it can start to look dull. Dermablading clears away those damaged skin cells so new, fresh skin is on display.
Dermabalding is essentially like shaving, and a form of mechanical, rather than chemical, exfoliation. A sterile blade is carefully used to remove dead cells, scar tissue build up, and any other debris that may be making your skin’s surface look uneven and aged.
As well as refining texture and supporting skin health, dermablading removes ‘peach fuzz’ hair with it. Don’t worry - this doesn’t encourage extra hair growth. It simply means silky smooth, radiant skin and expert-looking makeup this party season.

Any Questions?
Can anyone have a dermablade?
If you are experiencing active acne pustules, we will choose an alternative treatment for you to help heal the skin before proceeding with aa dermablade down the track.
Can I combine with another treatment?
For us, dermablading isn’t just skin surface deep. We use the blade to perform a clinical-grade resurfacing treatment, and love to maximise your results by combining with a peel or Hydrafacial.
We can even use in conjunction with medical-grade treatments like Tixel for deeper penetration of the dermis, or dermablade before your anti-wrinkle treatment so you leave with an instant glow.
Does it hurt?
From one peach fuzzed face to another: it is a seriously relaxing treatment. Once the trust is handed over to your clinician, the satisfaction of knowing how squeaky clean your skin will be after kicks in.
Will hair grow back thicker or become more noticeable?
No. You have 2 types of hair on your face: vellus and terminal. Vellus hair is the fine fuzzy hair you have. Terminal hair is the thicker hair, like thick chin hairs. Vellus hair cannot become terminal, and terminal cannot become vellus. Dermablading will not make your hair grow back thicker or longer.
Is it safe?
Yes. Although we are using a surgical blade, it is sterile and we are extremely experienced. Although there is always a risk of a scrape or small cut with a blade in your hand, it is extremely rare: like when you shave your legs. The highest risk is for a light graze or two as we layer the motion for a more intense treatment. You may experience a small breakout a few days after treatment, a by-product of removing deep congestion.
How often is this procedure performed?
Blading can be performed every 3 – 4 weeks, and each treatment actually removes about 2-3 weeks worth of dead skin cells and other debris. Most clients love their regular treatment every 6-8 weeks to keep them with their best face forward.
What about post-treatment care?
We advise restarting vitamin A in 4 days, vitamin C in 6 and you can re-commence your usual exfoliation routine in 7 days. Makeup, saunas, swimming or excessive sweating is not advised for at least 24 hours to allow your pores to close post treatment without being clogged or irritated.
